Advanced Bionics, part of the Sonova Group, is a world leader in developing cochlear implant systems for adults and children. 

Cochlear implants are an implantable hearing treatment for severe-to-profound hearing loss. Instead of delivering sound through the ear canal like traditional hearing aids, cochlear implants provide a sense of sound by stimulating the auditory nerve directly with an implanted electrode array. The two main components of a cochlear implant, the external sound processor and the implanted electrode array, are connected via a strong magnet.

Advanced Bionics currently markets two cochlear implants: the Naida CI M and the Sky CI M. The Sky is the world's first dedicated sound processor for children. The Naida is for adults.

The Naida CI M sound processor sits behind the ear. It combines proven cochlear implant technology with machine-learning technology proven to be successful in hearing aids to deliver a quality hearing experience. The Marvel also can connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices to support hands-free calling. It can be used in tandem with the AB Remote App, which allows for discreet control of your device via your phone.

The Sky CI M works similarly, but is uniquely designed for a child's typical listening environments. It comes in a variety of colors and with waterproof accessories. Roger technology from Phonak helps kids hear their teachers and other key conversations. 

Advanced Bionics partners with the hearing aid company Phonak for people who wear a CI in one ear, and a hearing aid in the other, known as bimodal hearing.
