“Wife & I both had hearing tests at Hearing Life - We are 71 & 69 yrs old - Tests in 2017 showed slight hearing loss, Hearing specialist in 2017 did not recommend aids for either of us, but rather test periodically for further loss - Specialist now said that we both needed hearing aids, even thought the change from 2017 was minimal - Specialist wanted us to come back for fitting of hearing aids - No discussion of options or why this aid would be the best choice - After we got home, we called back and cancelled the fitting appointment and made an appointment with an audioligist at an ENT practice - The auduologist said that my hearing was at the edge of needing aids and if I got them now, I would hear little to no difference - I was also concerned that hearing aids would affect my enjoyment of hifi music - Hearing Life guy said that I would hear music like I had never heard before with his aids - Audiologist said that aids concentrated on the speech range and that enjoyment of hifi music would suffer with aids in my case - My wife's hearing was in a range where no aid was indicated - Bottom line - Our experience with Hearing Life was that their focus is on sales and not on meeting a customer's needs - Save yourself from the experience that that we had and see a licensed audiologist whose focus is treating hearing loss and not selling hearing aids - If hearing aids are then indicated, then the auduologist can recommend the proper type of aid and go over options with you -”

“I started out with my first hearing aides back when HearingLife was known by another name. I've been a client at John Rolfe for about 10 years maybe. I met Bruce Powell when he came here about 3 years ago. He has always been personable and made my experience a good one.
