“This place is incredible. My daughter had major wax buildup in her ears and could barely hear. It happened over the holiday weekend, and with nothing open, we went to a convenience care clinic for earwax removal. At best, it didn’t help—at worst, it made things worse. I booked an appointment online at Hearing Health Center for Monday at 4 PM, and called as soon as they opened, hoping for something earlier. Andrew at the front desk was amazing and got us in sooner. We saw Dr. Sheri Larks, and she was phenomenal—warm, calm, funny, and incredibly good at explaining everything. She talked my daughter through both the plan and the backup plan, then used gentle techniques to remove the wax. In just 20 minutes, all of it was out safely and effectively. My daughter can hear better now than she has in years. One more thing I appreciated: while we were in the waiting room, I noticed a few patients who seemed to have dementia or confusion—something that’s apparently common with hearing issues in older adults. The staff treated them with such patience, respect, and kindness. It really stood out. Bottom line: if you’re dealing with earwax, skip the at-home methods and urgent care clinics. Just come here. They’re amazing.”

She called Dr. Sarah Schwartzer who came into the reception room and listened as I explained the issue. She took a look at the device, excused herself and in a few minutes was back. “I was very happy with my previous visits since 2018 until last week 7/9/21. I had an issue with the problem of connecting my new iPhone 11 with my hearing aid. I thought maybe someone in the office can help out. I was introduce to an audiologist and the problem was solved in a short moment. Then I was advised to do a hearing checkup since the pandemic 2020, so I came back the following week 7/13 . After the hearing test I met the same audiologist for the follow up consultation. She was kind of impatient, and at the end she appeared 'rude' to leave. Yesterday I received a bill for these two visits, $85 and $195 The first $85 for connecting the device. “4 years ago I began to notice my hearing loss. I bought expensive hearing aids from another company, but I hated them. They were difficult to put in my ears, I couldn’t tell if they were really making a difference, and after a number of visits to adjust them (unsuccessfully) I stopped wearing them. When I began reading studies about hearing loss possibly leading to dementia, I decided to try again. I visited Hearing Health Center because of a friend’s recommendation. She said that getting hearing aids there “transformed my life.” My experience with HHC is night and day from the other company. I could tell that this was a quality company from the first phone call, where they welcomed me and told me to check my insurance to see if they offered partial payment (they did. ) An appointment was immediately scheduled, and they told me why I should bring bring someone with a “familiar voice” for the hearing test. My audiologist, Dr. Hilary MacCrae, was very knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly. After the test and examination, she fitted me with hearing aids that feel wonderful——much smaller, and the right fit! Dr. Fisher, HHC’s owner, also called me to be sure everything had gone smoothly. At one point, 4 people were in the room being sure that I was comfortable putting in and taking out the hearing aids, syncing them with my phone, and completing my leasing agreement (HHC is the only company I know that has a leasing option.) There are also no batteries, just charging every night. I can now hear sounds that I didn’t even know I was missing! I can hear in noisy restaurants, or when there are presentations. It takes me second to place the hearing aids in my ears, no one can see them, and I forget about them most of the time. I’m beyond thrilled, and look forward to a continuing relationship as Dr. MacCrae and the HHC staff make sure that my hearing aids are perfectly suited to my needs. ”
