Audiologist

Originally trained as a researcher in auditory neuroscience, Charles Wasserman transitioned into audiology to apply his expertise to helping individuals manage hearing loss, tinnitus, central auditory processing disorder (CAPD), and sound sensitivities.

He earned his Doctor of Audiology, a graduate certificate in the neurobiology of language, and a Master of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hartford. While in graduate school, he was a National Science Foundation (NSF) fellow and received specialized training in the Neurobiology of Language. He completed his residency in Delray Beach, Florida, with a focus on adult and geriatric audiology, particularly supporting patients facing both hearing loss and cognitive challenges.

Dr. Wasserman takes a personalized approach to care, combining low- and high-tech solutions while emphasizing the individual beyond the audiogram. A musician since childhood, he appreciates the vital role sound and music play in overall quality of life.

In his spare time, Dr. Wasserman works as a freelance cellist, performing with local orchestras and theatre groups. He also serves as Director of Neuroassessment for Switch on Your Brain International LLC and the Neurocycle app.
