Jacob is a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and the Owner of Hometown Hearing. In 2005, Jacob began his career in hearing care by working for some of the largest hearing aid brands including Miracle Ear and Beltone. Working with these companies, Jacob learned about the hearing aid industry and became fascinated with hearing aid technology.
After speaking with a friend who was a hearing specialist, Jacob discovered that he enjoyed the type of work being a hearing instrument specialist offered. Now he is passionate about helping people experience better hearing through hearing aids. He keeps up to date with the latest hearing aid technology and is excited to constantly see the new technology released and how it can help his patients reconnect with their life. From helping patients manage their hearing loss to discovering the latest advancements in hearing aid technology, Jacob loves the versatility of being a hearing specialist.

Hometown Hearing: Our Story
Hometown Hearing is a privately owned and operated hearing care practice serving the Des Moines community. Jacob Levsen founded Hometown Hearing in 2015 after more than 20 years of experience in the hearing aid industry. His goal was to create a patient-focused hearing clinic where individuals could receive personalized hearing care and advanced hearing aid solutions close to home. Jacob finds it especially rewarding to see patients reconnect with the voices of their loved ones after being fit with hearing aids in the office.
