Audiologist, Owner, Advocate for Accessible Hearing Care

Kimberly Desmond is an experienced audiologist specializing in mobile hearing healthcare, tinnitus treatment, and geriatric care. With over 26 years of clinical expertise and a strong foundation in patient-centered service, she now brings hearing care directly to patients through her practice, Mobile Audiology & Hearing Aids, serving Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas.

Her journey began as a young child on her grandmother Helen’s farm, where an empathy-building game—pretending to be blind or deaf—left a lasting impression. Inspired by her grandmother’s connection to Helen Keller’s teacher and early lessons in compassion and sensory awareness, Kimberly found her calling in audiology.

Kimberly earned her Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1999, where she learned from some of the best educators and practitioners in the field. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Kentucky. From 2009 to 2017, she owned and operated Bluegrass Audiology & Hearing Aids in Nicholasville, KY, gaining deep experience and insight into private practice management and personalized hearing care.

“I enjoy helping people hear better, allowing them to fully engage in life's activities. Honestly, the true reward for me is seeing the smile when someone hears better.”

“Many thanks to Kim Desmond for the special attention to my uncle as she was able to give him hearing during a difficult time in his life. She spent time examining, adjusting, and setting the hearing aids to fit the correct sounds he needed. He could finally hear me talking. It was a joy to see his smile. I really appreciate the attention she gave him and help she gave me during this time.”
