Advanced Hearing Center - Derry

“My former long term ENT doctor couldn’t keep their audiologists, thus my 6 month follow ups kept getting pushed back again and again, despite my concerns that I needed my hearing aids adjusted. Luckily my PCP mentioned Advanced hearing Center (AHC) to me, noting she didn’t know they personally but other patients of hers were very happy with them. March 2025, I called AHC and got an appointment within 2 weeks (which was a miracle), where I met Audiologist Emma Michaud who did a thorough testing ($35), and adjusted my old hearing aids for approx. $75, as I had not purchased them through AHC, which is standard practice. She scheduled me the following week assess the adjustment and tweak them slightly (no extra charge) and scheduled a follow up Sept 2025. Now at my March 2026 appointment, my old hearing aides (6-8 y/o) were having lots of issues… beeping and/or shutting down needlessly. I decided the old ones had run their course and needed new hearing aides. I paid $35 for a new test, thankfully my hearing hadn’t changed much int he past 6 month, but mu hearing aides were failing. The cost for new hearing aides were $5,500 which is what I paid 6-8 years ago. One week later, my new hearing aides were in and had my first fitting. Emma made some tweaks based on my feedback to the sound but she didn’t give me the “full upgrade” as it was overwhelming my brain to hear all these new sounds I’d been missing; we made a follow up for today to give me time to get acclimated to them and make any necessarily adjustments. Emma made a few more adjustments based on my feedback in general conversations vs a room full of people as well as listening through my hearing aides while streaming through my ipad. Emma is very attentive and a great listener and made a couple of adjustments based on what I felt I was missing such as depth, warmth of voices, and hearing voices a little more loudly. Emma is a gem! She listed attently to everything I said and tweaked my hearing aids so everthging sounded perfectly! I am someone who feels completely deaf without my hearing aids, so to find a caring person like Emma makes me so happy that she listens to what I’m feeling/hearing. I’m sure my blood pressure has gone down now that I have my new hearing aides and the couple of tweaks I needed were made. Thank you Emma! ”
