Dr. Ryan Baker earned his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies at Florida State University in 1998. Before pursuing his doctorate, he worked at CNN in Atlanta as part of the satellite news gathering team.
Dr. Baker holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and serves on the Board of Directors for Elder Care and the Awesome Foundation of Gainesville. Additionally, he is the Music Director at 90.1 FM, the Wombat. In 2010, he was honored with the UF Outstanding Young Alumni award.
His clinical expertise includes diagnostics, amplification, and addressing musicians' hearing needs, and he is certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. Beyond his professional work, Dr. Baker is a passionate musician, playing keyboards in local bands and collecting records. In his free time, he enjoys various sports, including golf, basketball, ping-pong, disc golf, and canoeing. He also loves camping and traveling with his family.
Dr. Baker has been married to his wife, Katharine, since 2001, and they have two children, Evan Miles and Lila Rose.
