Dr. Ashley Marcus
Audiologist
Dr. Ashley Marcus, a Doctor of Audiology, is the lead practitioner at Discover Audiology. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida. Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, she moved to New York to complete her residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr. Marcus's passion for audiology began during her American Sign Language (ASL) classes, where she was taught by a professor who was deaf and had a cochlear implant. Inspired by this experience, she switched her undergraduate major to Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Specializing in diagnostics, hearing aids, and aural rehabilitation for adults, Dr. Marcus follows a medical approach to treating hearing loss, emphasizing early intervention and patient counseling. She is dedicated to educating her patients about their hearing loss and developing personalized treatment plans to help them regain their ability to hear.
