I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism that greeted me at the front door by the Office Manager to the time, transparency and care that Dr. Wightman showed me through the entire process of purchasing new hearing aids. Of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice Audiology had access to all of the brands and models of devices, they didn’t push any one brand on me, like several of the other offices did, Dr. Wightman had device suggestions based on my testing, but explained that he is not in the business of selling hearing aids, but in the business of giving me the best chance of successfully utilizing what hearing I have left. Also, Sound Advice had the longest trial period of the offices that I contacted. They allow for a 30-day trial, not 2-weeks as the other offices limit you to. Two weeks is not long enough for your brain to acclimate to the new sounds that you are hearing or the old sounds that you are hearing differently with new technology. Even at that, Sound Advice is flexible with the trial period. Probably, the most important thing that I can state confidently, of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice had the least EXPENSIVE prices for hearing aids and their repairs. They beat the lowest quote that I obtained elsewhere by $1,200! Everybody knows that hearing aids are not cheap!
