“Mid Valley has served our family well for almost 30 years. They have provided excellent care for our 2 daughters since they were infants, including exams and hearing aid fitting. One daughter now travels from where she lives 2 hours away to see Dr. Peterson. She hasn't been able to find quality care from another provider. My husband has also gone to Mid Valley for his hearing needs for the past 3 years. We couldn't be happier & would highly recommend Mid Valley !”

“My son was born with a hearing impairment. I'm sure the doctors are knowledgable in their field, however, as the parent of a young child I felt less than pleased. My son was crying the whole visit each time from being poked and prodded, which could be expected but I feel like children may not be their speciality. They didn't explain to me what they were doing or finding out so I kind of felt like it was a wasted trip and not much insight or knowledge gained. I am a young mother, which should not matter, and I learned more by doing a Google search on his impairment. My last experience with them was via a very rude receptionist. I hate to write bad reviews but it happens.. I will be taking my son elsewhere for his hearing needs. ”

Official Response from Mid Valley Hearing Center:
“Thank you for giving us this feedback. We are sorry that your son's services in our office did not meet your expectations. As parents ourselves, we understand how challenging it can be when a young child has a health condition. We also know it can uncomfortable for a parent if their child is upset with testing procedures. We strive to make the hearing testing experience pleasant for both children and parents, but young children sometimes do not like to be examined and can react by crying and fussing. We apologize that we didn’t explain the testing procedures and test results to your satisfaction. When a child is less than a year old, we sometimes complete the age-appropriate testing during the two visits to our office. As the child ages and can participate more actively in the testing, we can obtain more complete information about a hearing impairment, which is helpful for all those involved in the child’s care, and most importantly for the parents. When a parent doesn’t bring their young child back in for scheduled follow-up visits, it makes it very difficult for us to ensure that the parent is given all of the necessary information about their child’s condition. Unfortunately, interruptions in patients’ insurance coverage can result in appointment cancellations when there isn’t an alternative payment method available. That can be a frustrating situation for everyone involved. We sincerely want to ensure that your son gets the care he needs and that you get the information you need; please call our office today to discuss your options for rescheduling an appointment for him.
