Northwest Hearing + Tinnitus - Olympia

Dr. Rachel “Rae” Spelz is a Doctor of Audiology and Director of Audiology at Northwest Hearing + Tinnitus, specializing in tinnitus and hyperacusis management. With advanced training in tinnitus care, Dr. Spelz is passionate about helping patients reduce the impact of tinnitus on sleep, focus, stress, and overall well-being.

In addition to tinnitus treatment, Dr. Spelz provides comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations and precision hearing aid fittings with real-ear verification, ensuring personalized solutions that support clear communication and long-term success.

Dr. Spelz earned their Doctor of Audiology degree from Lamar University and completed a year-long residency at a large otolaryngology clinic, gaining extensive experience in collaborative, physician-aligned care. They are conversational in American Sign Language and are known for their empathetic, organized, and patient-centered approach.

By combining evidence-based care with creativity and compassion, Dr. Spelz works closely with each patient to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique goals and lifestyle.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Spelz is an avid potter and enjoys making functional ceramic pieces ranging from mugs to bird feeders. Their work is often sold at local markets in the community pottery studio where they create. 

Kiki Mustin is an Audiology Assistant at Northwest Hearing + Tinnitus in our Olympia office. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and brings several years of hands-on audiology experience, including prior work as a Licensed Audiologist Assistant.

Kiki works closely with our Doctors of Audiology to support hearing aid maintenance, patient education, and follow-up care, helping ensure a seamless and supportive experience from initial evaluation through long-term treatment. Her background in communicative sciences allows her to provide informed, compassionate guidance as patients navigate their hearing healthcare journey.

Originally from Tacoma and part of a military family, Kiki is proud to serve the Olympia community with attentive, personalized care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local parks with her daughter, and caring for her growing collection of houseplants.
