Dr. Winnett's lifes passion is to make a positive impact on people and community. Dr. Erek Winnett, Au.D., owns and operates Alta View Audiology. Dr. Winnett graduated from the University of Utah in 2015 with a Doctorate of Audiology. He specializes in adult hearing diagnostics, amplification, balance, and electrophysiology. His capstone project involved occupational noise exposure, and how to set up a successful and safe noise management program. Dr. Winnett’s residency was with the SLC VA Medical Center, where he considered it an honor to have worked with our nation’s heroes daily. He later went on to open a community-based clinic for the VA Medical Center. Dr. Erek Winnett takes pride in continued growth and excellence, as it is never easy to break the mold and try new things.
When not helping those with their hearing, you will find Dr. Winnett with family, working on an old Jeep, or mountain biking down one of Salt Lake City’s local trails.
Thailund Larsen
Patient Coordinator
Our patient care coordinator and primary technician is Thailund Larsen. Her daily focus is to create a comfortable and upbeat environment for all of of our patients. She is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels informed, supported, andconfodent throughout their hearing care journey.
Thailund graduated from Mountain Heights Academy in 2023 at the top of her class. Since then, she has been dedicated to working under the supervision of Dr. Erek Winnett to help the Salt Lake community hear better than ever before! She is currently working towards obtaining her Hearing Instrument Specialist License as well.
When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Thailund doing research for her podcast, bushcraft hiking, and spending time with family.

“Had a 9 am appointment scheduled. Arrived at 0850 to check in. Office staff was incredibly pleasant. Finally left at 10 after not even making it beyond the waiting room. Was told it’s normal for them to be 1-1.5 hrs behind. Will seek care elsewhere. ”
