“I took my 70 year old mother to get her hearing evaluated because she continued to have difficulty hearing in all environments. I selected National Hearing & Balance due to the numerous highly rated online reviews, the best hearing practices were performed, as well as my favorite, the Real Ear Measurement (REM), which is performed here after your hearing aids are fitted to ensure your hearing is the best it can be. I was definitely not disappointed with my decision, especially since I attended all of the appointments, I have hearing aids myself, and I knew what to look out for. After Dr. Le fitted my mother with her new hearing aids, for the first time in her life, she now has a much improved ability to hear, including her hearing in public venues, listening to the television, and talking on her landline phone. Our family is also experiencing a significant decrease in misunderstandings in our communication with her. We spend much less time explaining and repeating messages or words to her, and she feels more able to be in control of her environments, all thanks to Dr. Le and the state-of-the-art Best Practices provided at National Hearing & Balance. In spite of the fact that my mother did not grow up with technology and doesn’t have a smart phone, Dr. Le treated my mother with personal attention, respect, and spent a great deal of time with her in an effort to give her the best hearing outcome possible. While other audiology clinics tried to give my mother inferior quality service, Dr. Le went the extra mile to ensure my mother had the best of everything, all within our budget. I SO wished I received all of this and went here when I first got hearing aids! I have friends and other family members who purchased inferior hearing aids which failed to meet their needs. As a result, their hearing aids spent more time sitting in the case than working in their ears. I wish to encourage more people to visit Dr. Le. Like my mother’s, their life will be better, and they will not be disappointed with her excellent work, professionalism, dedication, and care. ”

“I dreaded the idea of hearing aids. But I'm seeing the problems my mom is having and how frustrating it is for all of us. I don't want to be like that. I am fortunate to have been referred to Dr Laci Le at National Hearing and Balance for my evaluation and options available to me. She has been friendly and positive in what, for me, has been years of frustration and worry. One worry, of course, is cost. I've heard roughly the same cost, when I've confided with friends, for the past 20 years. Seriously, it's stayed constant. And I was always thought it wasn't worth it. If you think I was wrong, then you're right. Of course it took getting these itty bitty little wonders for me to learn that. But I'm a little glad I waited. Here's why... These things are amazing for the level of technology in them. I am fortunate to have been able to have purchased the model that gave Dr Le the flexibility to adjust them to both my actual impairment, but also to my personal wishes. Not only do they have an app ( what doesn't nowadays), but these things double as bluetooth ear buds! I can stream all day in peace. And it has been great to use them as a hands free phone (with my phone of course; didn't work in a noisy restaurant). Also to be considered is that this isn't just a purchase and I'm sent on my way. No, this is actually a commitment by Dr Le that she will provide long term hearing care and support for these hearing aids. This is where her friendliness and enthusiasm really matter. She is now my hearing care provider and will be for several years, at least. She has replaced my previous avoidance of my hearing problems with anticipation of keeping these marvels in tune with my needs. Oh a story... My wife and I frequent a favorite San Antonio restaurant (Jim's). She often says "I haven't heard that song in years." I kinda sorta am aware that there is music. Now I'm like "oh, those are the words. I never realized that." All I can say is if you heard "Get your hearing checked" a few times, get it done! I heartily recommend Dr Laci Le of National Hearing and Balance. ”
