Dr. Abigail Sweeney is a native of Louisville. She attended Eastern Kentucky University where she majored in Communication Disorders graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Sweeney obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine in 2009. She is a Past Vice President of the Kentucky Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Sweeney is the Director of Audiology and started the audiology and hearing aid practice in January 2016. Prior to joining the practice, she worked for a hearing aid manufacturer as an account manager. While working for the hearing aid manufacturer, she trained audiologists how to fit advanced hearing aid technology and would also work with patients during the fitting process. Prior to working for the hearing aid manufacturer, Dr. Sweeney worked clinically treating hearing loss and vestibular disorders. Providing excellent patient care and offering state of the art hearing technology is a commitment Dr. Sweeney has to her patients. Her focus is on best practice and developing relationships with her patients because she understands once you become a hearing aid patient, you are a lifelong patient.
Dr. Sweeney is a proud wife and mother to three sons. She loves photography, crafting, spending time with her big family and loves taking care of her patients!

Hearing aid dispensing and fitting is a personalized process based on the results of your hearing evaluation, your lifestyle, and your unique listening needs. Once your hearing aids are selected, they are professionally programmed and fine-tuned to help you hear more clearly in everyday situations, including conversations, social settings, and challenging listening environments. Because hearing is subjective, no two fittings are exactly alike. As part of the fitting process, Real-Ear Measurements (REM) and Live Speech Mapping are used to verify that your hearing aids are programmed accurately and delivering appropriate amplification based on real-time speech and sound.

Tinnitus Treatment - Advanced diagnostic testing for tinnitus (ringing or noises in your ears) Our professionals can help recommend a course of action to deal with this persistent problem. Each person has an individual response to treatment; our goal is to work with you to relieve this condition. Evaluations and treatment with a Certificate Holder of Tinnitus Management.
Ear Wax Management - An excess of earwax can be generated by the ear, leading to potential blockage and press against the eardrum, this can impair the ability to hear. We can assist in the safe removal of ear wax.
