“I drove 200 miles for an appointment with Dr Amy Greer because I was interested in the Lenire device that was reviewed on Good Morning America. I have had Tinnitus and Hypercusis for 23 years from an head injury in an auto Accident. After being told by numerous Doctors that there was no cure and to learn to live with it, I received the most comprehensive hearing exam from Dr Amy who knew far more about my problem than any other Dr before and told me that there were things that can be done. After determining the type of sound I was hearing and the volume of the tinnitus, she then also determined how sound sensitivity from my Hyperacusis was severely limiting what I can hear in a room with loud noise and/or multiple inputs. After reviewing the results she tried 2 different specialized hearing aids that help to control Tinnitus by playing random, continuous notes that cause the brain to quiet the Tinnitus. And after only a half hour with the 2nd hearing aids, the tinnitus went away for the first time in 23 years. Thank you Dr Amy for Your knowledge, enthusiasm, encouragement and compassion for a skeptic walking in Your door and a believer walking out! There is something that can be done for Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. Dr.Amy knows what causes it and has treatment options to help, including the Lenire device, which was one of the options and I ironically drove 200 miles to discuss, but wasn’t what helped me, yet brought me to a solution I have sought for 23 years.
