Audiolgist

Dr. Laura Espinoza is excited to join Audio Help Hearing Centers. Laura started at Audio Help as an intern then decided to come back for her residency and finally join the Audio Help team as an Audiologist. Laura earned her B.S. from Ithaca College and her Doctorate of Audiology from Pacific University.

While living in Portland, OR, Laura volunteered at a clinic where she counseled Spanish speaking patients from the community who didn’t have health insurance about the negative impact diabetes has on their hearing health. She is interested in the patient care approach and finding the appropriate plan for hearing health.

Laura is a New York native and in her free time enjoys trying new coffee shops, traveling and posting on her food blog. Laura looks forward to continuing to work with patients in the city and in Stamford, CT

We provide our patients with comprehensive audiological treatment to meet their individual hearing needs. By conducting in-depth evaluations, we cover a wide range of symptoms and, with the latest and best in hearing aid technology, we're prepared to help you hear what you've been missing. Our Services in NYC Include:

Hearing Tests - There are various types of hearing tests, and each one is designed to assess a different aspect of how we hear. Below are some common types of hearing tests:

  • Pure-Tone Audiometry
  • Speech Audiometry
  • Tympanometry
  • Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Test
  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) Test
  • Electrocochleography (ECochG)
  • Videonystagmography (VNG)
  • Auditory Processing Tests
  • Functional Listening Evaluation
  • Bone Conduction Testing

These tests can be done individually, or combined to give a complete picture of someone's hearing ability. They help determine the type and degree of hearing loss and guide the appropriate treatment. The specific test chosen depend on a person's age symptoms and the nature of their hearing issues.

Hearing Test Results - Your hearing test results are displayed as a digital audiogram to identify the softest sounds and pitches you can hear. The marks on the graph indicate the severity of your hearing loss. Your level of hearing will be classified as normal, slight, mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe, or profound.

Hearing Aid Demonstration - After determining if you have correctable hearing loss, your doctor will recommend a device that best suits your hearing loss. They will discuss the available hearing aid styles to address your needs.

Hearing Aid Brands - Phonak, Oticon, Starkey, Signia and Lyric known for its unique invisible hearing aids.

Financing Hearing Aids We offer different hearing aid financing options, so you can rest assured you’ll find devices within your price range.
