Lisa M. Nelson is the founder and Executive Director of Hearing Professionals Inc. She earned her Master of Science degree from Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Arizona Health Sciences. She is fluent in sign language communication and has extensive experience with advanced hearing aid technology. As Executive Director of Hearing Professionals, Inc. her stated mission is to provide the highest quality of personalized, professional hearing and balance health care services that she can. She leads a team of highly qualifed Audiologists that provide excellent patient care.

Hearing Professionals (HPI) was founded in 1995 in Laurel, Maryland by owner Dr. Lisa Nelson. She believes that the ultimate goal of an audiology practice should be to provide personalized care for every patient using the most technologically advanced equipment.
HPI expanded the service area in 1999 by acquiring Waldorf Hearing Aid Center and in 2001 began providing services in Bowie, Solomons and Leonardtown. The company has grown from a single employee to a team of 12 employees at four locations. The reputation of the practice draws patients from over seven counties across Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
