“I made an appointment for an opinion from a specialist on a hearing loss. I had many procedures done through my family doctor. First thing there they did not send me to the physician but to an audiologist for a hearing examine and an overview of hearing aids available. Again this was before I was seen by a physician. I had brought a recent audiology test with me. I was already concerned about Medicare coverage. I told the physician I didn't want anything done not covered by medicare. He wanted to run some blood tests to rule out hearing loss caused by other diseases, a long shot. To my dismay not covered by Medicare so secondary insurance will not cover either. My family doctor always knows what is covered by Medicare or not. Now I am receiving a bill for $263.00, with as far as I can tell no adjustments. I will pay the bill because of the hassle. It goes back to if Medicare does not cover it I do not want the procedure. Very disappointed with the experience. ”
