“Today I had first and last ever appointment with audiologist Holly Folley. I was waiting for my appointment for two weeks after all she did not give any attempts to help improve my hearing aid at least a bit, say I tried but I can’t or something … So cold attitude without any compassion to patient . I am a live person it means there can be help for me, I just knocked today on the wrong door. ”

Official Response from Alamo Hearing Aid and Audiological Services:
“Larysa, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We are sorry that situation didn’t have a better outcome for you. When a person comes to us with a hearing aid purchased in another country and two recent hearing tests from other trusted reputable audiologists in our area that both show the person has no useable hearing in the ear, we know that there is nothing that can be done. Although most hearing losses can be treated and improved by using hearing aids, not all hearing losses are treatable and it's never a happy situation when that is the case. Even when it is disappointing to hear, we still tell the truth to people who come to our office. In a scenario such as this we believe that the only ethical response is to tell the person to save their money, rather than to keep spending more on hearing tests. Testing a third time and taking a person’s money would be unscrupulous and that’s not how we like to operate. Here at Alamo Hearing Aid and Audiological Services, we believe in honesty. In a situation like that, we don’t even charge for the visit or for our professional opinion. We just tell the truth as we see it. We are sorry that the outcome was disappointing, and we wish you the best. Should you have any additional concerns, please call our office and we’d be happy to discuss them. Best regards, Holly Foley, AuD ”

“I was given a hearing test here, there was no follow up even though the audiologist discovered hearing loss in both my ears.”

Official Response from Alamo Hearing Aid and Audiological Services:
“Leonard, Patient satisfaction is very important to us. We are sorry that your experience didn't meet your expectations. The hearing evaluation was requested by your attorney, and that is all that was ordered. Your results were shared with the attorney as well as your Doctor. Neither you nor your attorney agreed to pay for a hearing aid evaluation nor was a hearing aid recommendation requested. My recommendation was for further testing by an Ear Nose Throat doctor to determine / confirm specific hearing levels. The need for a hearing aid was not conclusive. If the ENT would determine that you did indeed require a hearing aid, then I would be happy to discuss that with you. Sincerely, Holly Foley, audiologist”

“Holly is the first audiologist to provide me with hearing aides that allowed me to "comprehend" what I heard. She also fitted me with a mold that doesnt end my day in agony. Most important though, Holly's honesty and integrity are a rarity in the hearing side world.”

“I was vacationing in San Antonio and my Oticon hearing aid unexpectedly stopped working. Would be a disaster not hearing well on my trip! I Ubered from our hotel over to see Holly and her husband, was warmly welcomed and my hearing aid promptly fixed. These are wonderful people and Holly's personality and expertise salvaged our visit. Cannot thank them enough for their friendliness and professionalism in the rescue of our trip! THANKS A MILLION!!!”
