“This place is awesome. The staff is knowledgeable and very professional. Gregory matched my needs and budget to the optimal aids for me. I'm a musician and Greg let me bring in my guitar and work to fine tune the best settings for a dedicated music program for my aids. And of course I was able to work to get optimal settings for other situations as well (noisy restaurants etc.). I could go on, but I want to point to the terrific service CBH provides for their clients. Cleanings are free and readily available 6 days a week. This is crucial! The most expensive hearing aid in the world will sound awful and not perform if it's become coated in wax. Here, it's same day cleaning and any tweaks are seen to promptly. After care and upkeep is very important and the Center shines here too. Highest rating! ”

I must say that Gregory and his staff are very very helpful and excellent in their helping me to buy the best hearing aid, and I've been going to him thereafter every six months for a check up. “I got my first hearing aids in 2009, which was not a good choice for me. I didn’t know there was a difference in hearing aid specialists. In 2011, I was tested again by my doctor and it was recommended that I not return to the first one but go to Center for Better Hearing in El Cerrito. The difference was a vast improvement, much more professional and great care was given the adjustments. Unfortunately my hearing itself continued to degrade and adjustments always made to accommodate the change in my hearing range, which was not much and the hearing aids had become pretty much useless. Tests showed that I had lost all of my low range of hearing, and there were no hearing aids on the market strong enough to work for me. Now my only option was cochlear implants. I met with Suzanne, who worked at Better Hearing and she agreed, there was nothing that would work but there was one company that may help me and she ordered them. She worked tirelessly making adjustments getting me sound where there was a blank space in my ears. I could now hear the words on TV, which I had not been able to do for a year or more. I am so grateful to her for her diligence and persistence. I know another company would have given up on me long ago. I’m also grateful to the doctor that suggested I go to Center for Better Hearing. ”
