“I recently moved from New Jersey to Chandler AZ. In New Jersey I purchased a pair of hearing aids that never worked properly, in spite of the fact that the audiologist in New Jersey sent the hearing aids to the manufacturer for recalibration. When I arrived in Chandler, I received notification from the audiologist saying that the warrantee on my hearing aids was about to expire. I contacted Sandra Harper and she was able to make the hearing aids work properly. She also showed me how to program the hearing aids so that I could easily adjust the volume according to my needs. She was extremely helpful, very professional and took the time to show me on the computer how the programs work. I basically recovered $5,000 that I thought I had wasted. ”

“ Some 30 years ago I received my first set of hearing aides. Since then I have tried at least 5 different hearing aide companies. All did the same thing. Make an appointment, go into the sound proof room, take the test, go into another room, have the molds made, have the person come back in 2 weeks to pick up. Go back set down handed the aides insert and then asked how do they feel? Second question can you hear in both ears okay? Handed a box with instructions and such. Told to were for 2 weeks to get used to. Then, if you need anything call for an appointment. All seemed to be in a hurry. Just like only had a certain time to get you in and out. If I insisted I could ask a question and the person was walking away, sometime received an answer but most time we will talk next time you back. I had to learn all about the aides on my own by trying different adjustments, those that I could. Most of time when I called for an appointment had to wait 3 or 4 weeks and sometimes could not get off work so never did go back. Others at worked asked me where I went to buy the aides and I would not tell them because I always was treated badly and did not want them to blame me for sending to a company who treasures money over the customer. And most were between 15 and 25 miles from my house and work. Was in Walmart one day and heard 2 older couples talking about hearing aides. One man said he went to Harper Hearing to get his aides and it was the best place to go because like me he had been to several others and received the same treatment as I did. So asked hem where the office was located. Fount out it is less than a mile from by house. So made an appointment. I knew right away when I walked into office that this visit would be much better than all the rest. Was greeted, by Rachel, with a smile and asked if I wanted a cup of coffee and snacks. She treats all patients, new or returning, the same with kind words. She is very helpful in answering any question you may have. I had to stop back for an answer about settings on my phone, was told already but forgot, instead of telling to make an appointment she explained it and I understood. So again Harpers is the place to go. As to appointments Rachel does it all, sets up, calls to remind you, changes in case you cannot make it. Always thinks of the patient first. Went into the sound proof room and did the hearing test. Then to my surprise Sandra looked into both ears with a lighted interment that also came up on a monitor which I could see. First time I ever was able to see what the inside of ears looked like. She had 2 monitors one for her and one for me. I was able to, again for the first time, see my charts and see just how much hearing I had lost. Before I was given the aides she explained how they work and how to use the settings. When I put in to see the fit it was then she programmed both explaining each step as I watched on monitor. All programmed new batteries inserted. Went through some tests to see if balanced and just how good I could hear. I was ready to leave but she said no, wanted to make sure I was happy. So I asked her to turn one off and say something then the other both good. I had forgotten about using the phone and being able to hear through the aides but she did not so she went through the process and even set up my phone for me. I did nothing and after I left did not need to change any settings. Now where I work and am asked where I bought the new aides I always say from; Harper Hearing Services that Dr. Harper is the best I have ever been to in the last 30 years then give her address and phone number. ”

“I wished I met Dr. Harper 5 years ago. She’s the best Audiologist in the valley. She’s cutting edge and very knowledgeable of the latest advances in audiology. She doesn’t just read the result of your hearing test, she works hard at getting to know your daily activities and listens to your concerns. Simply put, she really listens. Dr. Harper quickly matched my interest in technology with the Oticon OPN hearing aids. She explained that the Oticon Opn are the first hearing aid to connect to and interact with the Internet using IFITT enabled services. Since I love technology, I googled Oticon on my phone and learned that the Opn hearing aids captured prestigious 2017 CES innovation Awards in two categories, Tech for a Better World and Wearable Technologies. When she showed me how small they were, I was sold. Rachel, Dr. Harper’s back office guru, took care of everything and called me a week later informing me that hearing aids were in the office already. She did it all, including worked with my insurance company and the Oticon rep. The fitting went smoothly and within an hour I was hearing high pitches in people’s voices. I even heard Rachel talking on the phone down the hallway. It was unbelievable! I couldn’t believe that such a small device (practically invisible) could be so powerful. Originally I thought that hearing aids would amplify people voices, but the Opn don’t work that way. Instead of loudness, I heard clarity! Instead of hearing voices in front of me, I was hearing voices all around, like 360 degrees. This is what Dr. Harper said it would be like with Oticon hearing aids. She quickly downloaded and installed the Oticon app on my IPhone and showed me how to make the adjustments using the app. That day not only did I experience I life altering experience but my teenage daughters were shocked when I heard everything they said at our dinner table that night. If you ever thought about getting hearing aids, now is the time. The technology has made incredible advances over the past year. “I first went to Sandra Harper a few years ago for some Resound Lynx hearing aids. She was so amazing that when I moved across the country a year ago I could never find another audiologist that I liked as much as her (so I still see her when I’m in Phoenix). Recently I was in town for a few days and made an appointment to have her check out my hearing aids on Wednesday afternoon. She asked if I would be interested in the new oticon aids. In 24 hours I had my new oticon hearing aids in and fitted. I can’t express how grateful I was since I only had another day or two in town. The oticon’s are much better than my Resound’s were as they seemed to allow me to hear more sounds around me that I was not aware that I was missing. They are hands down better in noisy environments such as restaurants and bars (even with a band).
