Comprehensive Audiology Services in California

We offer solutions for the most common symptoms associated with a wide range of ear, nose and throat disorders.

Tinnitus - The signs and symptoms of tinnitus include noise in the ears such as ringing, roaring, buzzing, clicking, hissing, or whistling. Diagnosis of Tinnitus - Your doctor will review your symptoms and medical history and perform a physical examination of your ears, head, and neck.

Treatment for Tinnitus - Dependent on the causes and symptoms can include:

  • Removing wax blockage
  • Hearing aids
  • Noise suppression
  • Medications
  • Behavioral treatment helps you to change the way you think and feel about your symptoms, and include:Tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT) or Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)

Tinnitus Prevention - Tinnitus can be prevented by:

  • Wearing over-the-ear hearing protection when exposed to loud sounds
  • Regular exercise
  • Limiting alcohol, caffeine ,and nicotine

Hearing Assessment Tests - Common hearing assessment tests include the following: Pure-tone testing, Bone conduction testing, Speech testing (word recognition), Tympanometry, Acoustic reflex testing, Auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing and Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs).

Hearing Assessments for Infants and Children -  It is recommended that all infants and children undergo periodic hearing assessments. Children may be born with a hearing condition or it may develop later in childhood. Hearing is essential to the emotional, cognitive, and social development of infants and children. Left untreated even a mild hearing loss can affect a child’s language and speech development.

Outcome of Hearing Assessment Tests - The results from your hearing assessment tests will determine both the extent of your hearing loss and whether it is temporary or permanent.  A customized treatment plan can then be created, which may include options such as medication, hearing aids, cochlear implants, or surgery.

Hearing Aids - Top manufacturers available

Implantables Hearing  Aids - The invisible Esteem Hearing Implant is designed to enhance hearing in adults with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss and is the only fully implanted, FDA-approved, active middle ear hearing device available. The Esteem is:

  • An INVISIBLE Solution — You don’t just hear better. You look and feel better. There are no external components. And nothing is in your ear canal.
  • A GO-ANYWHERE Solution — There’s nothing to put in or take out. Exercise, shower, and even swim underwater. All with newfound freedom.
  • A LONG-TERM Solution — Imagine a full-time hearing solution that’s up to the task 24/7/365. Even its battery lasts years—not weeks or months.
  • A CONVENIENT Solution — You don’t remove it or clean it. You don’t misplace it or lose it. And there’s no daily maintenance. You just enjoy it.
