Certified Audiology Assistant
Denise Candy an Eastern Shore native, has been with ESENTA since 2006. She started as a scribe shortly after graduating in 2005, from Parkside High School. While working full time, Denise went to Chesapeake College, achieving her degree as a surgical technologist and a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in 2011. She began working as a medical assistant in our clinic, but audiology piqued her interest.
Denise is now a certified audiology assistant with certifications in diagnostic testing and amplification, which she achieved through Nova Southeastern University in 2014. She is an integral part of the audiology team and assists the audiologists with hearing tests, scheduling, VNG testing, hearing aid repairs, helping our patients on a daily basis, and so much more. Denise enjoys spending her down time with her husband and beautiful baby girl.

Diagnostic hearing tests for both hearing loss and tinnitus - A comprehensive audiology evaluation consists of a series of individual diagnostic tests that measure different aspects of your hearing and may include any or all of the following:
- Pure-tone testing
- Bone conduction testing
- Speech (or word recognition) testing
- Acoustic Reflex Testing
- Tympanometry
- Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
- Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)
