Audiologist

Dr. Kate Johnson is a skilled audiologist specializing in services such as cochlear implants, adult diagnostics, and hearing aids. She has a deep passion for adult cochlear implantation and is well-trained to assist individuals with severe to profound hearing loss. Dr. Johnson is dedicated to supporting patients throughout the entire cochlear implant journey, from initial evaluation to activation and ongoing follow-up care. Her research interests focus on patient outcomes and quality of life in cochlear implant recipients.

After completing her graduate studies at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Johnson joined the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and exploring the mountains.

We sell a variety of hearing aids to meet your individual needs.

Hearing care services

Utah Health Audiology services include treating hearing loss and other related conditions.

  • Complete hearing evaluations for adults and children
  • Electroneuronography test (ENOG)
  • Auditory brainstem response testing (ABR) (main hospital only)
  • Tinnitus consultations and treatment
  • Auditory processing disorder evaluations (Speech Language Hearing Clinic only)
  • Balance & vestibular evaluations (Speech Language Hearing Clinic only)
  • Virtual care appointments

We offer a variety of care related to hearing aids and fittings:

  • Hearing aid evaluations and counseling
  • Personalized recommendations for hearing device(s)
  • Hearing assistive technology devices
  • Real-ear measurements for hearing aid fitting
  • Cochlear implant workup evaluation and mapping
  • Custom hearing protection and swim molds

Financial Information

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit/debit cards. We will check your insurance to see if your insurance offers a hearing aid benefit. We also offer payment plans.
