Dr. Nisreen Alkhayer is a highly skilled audiologist. She has been the owner of South Coast Hearing Specialists in Laguna Niguel, California since November 2022. With over a decade of experience, she is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals experiencing hearing loss through personalized and compassionate care. Dr. Alkhayer is originally from Syria. She earned her master's degree in speech-language pathology from a joint program between Damascus University and the University of Jordan. She later pursued her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) at Illinois State University, where she also conducted research on improving hearing aid benefits through reading out loud.

We are also a VA Community Care provider, supporting veterans on their hearing health journey, and we accept most major medical insurance plans. This includes AETNA and Blue Shield.

Your evaluation will include an otoscopic ear inspection, pure tone air and bone conduction testing, and speech discrimination and speech-in-noise testing. These in depth assessments give us a clear picture of how your hearing is functioning. It's the 1st step toward better hearing and understanding exactly what's happening with your hearing health.
- Hearing aid evaluations & consultations
Dr. Alkhayer doesn't just rely on your test results, she takes the time to understand your daily lifestyle, budget, and hearing goals before recommending hearing aids that fit your unique needs.
- Hearing aid fitting and programming
Real Ear Measurement (REM) technology is used to fine-tune your hearing aids while you are wearing them. This ensures that the sound is accurate, comfortable, and optimized for real-world use. Dr. Alkhayer also provides ongoing adjustments based on your feedback as you continue to wear your devices.
- Hearing aid programming and compatibility
Not happy how your hearing aids sound? We can fine tune them and adjust them, even if they weren't bought from our clinic.
We program and service hearing aids from the five major manufacturers. These include: Oticon, Starkey, Phonak, Signia/Sivantos and ReSound.
