“Dr. Parsons was thorough with her exam, front office was friendly, and appt. was on time. However, I felt that I was overcharged. They ask you to sign a good faith estimate. I did it prior to the visit and then sitting with the doctor. $100 for a hearing evaluation and $150 for a hearing aid evaluation. I asked 2 different times if I would need to pay the $150 if the exam determined that I did not need a hearing aid. I was told no twice. I was still charged $250 even though I did not need a hearing aid & did not try any of the various options they offer. I was first told that since the doctor spent a few minutes discussing that there was an option to purchase hearing aids not prescribed/fitted by them and it might be an option to consider in the future. When I said this does not justify a $150 fee, they then changed the reason for the charge. Now it was that since the doctor did more in depth hearing testing that they were charging more. This makes no sense. As an initial hearing screening is what led me to visit the doctor for an exam. They should just tell you they are charging you $250 for a hearing exam, ear wax cleaning if needed, and review of hearing aid options if needed/requested. Also, they don't take insurance.”
