“First, I don't write negative reviews, but my experience was so unacceptable that I feel obligated. I saw Dr. Susan Reilly twice. Her abruptness turned me off on the first visit, but I feel everyone deserves a second chance. Several things caused me significant concern during the second visit while I attempted to gather the information I needed to make a purchase decision, but the one that put me over the top was when I tried to explain to her my concerns and objectives. She cut me off mid-sentence, saying literally that those weren't any concern of hers, and proceeded to provide me with what turned out to be a gross misrepresentation of the capabilities of the instruments I wished to consider. She either didn't honestly know the product, or was consciously pushing me to a more costly option than I needed. Both are completely unacceptable; I left without placing an order and convinced that her compensation is commission-based. She was certainly not patient-focused. Needless to say, I went to a competitor, was heard and treated with respect and received what I needed to make an informed buying decision. ”

Official Response from Audiologic Solutions - Rensselaer:
“Hi Pete, This is very disheartening. We apologize that you had a negative experience at one of our offices. That is a new location of ours and we are in the midst of making changes for the better. We strive for a positive and welcoming environment at every patient appointment, and take customer complaints very seriously. Your experience described here does not reflect our mission statement. As a team our goal is to provide hearing care worth recommending to others, and in this case we have failed in our mission. We have taken steps to make sure this will NEVER happen again. In the interests of quality patient care we are pleased that you were able to find a hearing solution that met your needs. Should you have any additional comments that will help us improve our quality of care and customer service please reach out to us directly. Sincerely, Audiologic Solutions”
