Audiologist
Gerri Competiello earned her Bachelors of Arts in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Masters of Arts in Audiology at Adelphi University then earned her Doctor of Audiology at Salus University. She successfully completed her Clinical Fellowship at the Lennox Hill Cochlear Implant Center in New York City. She also worked as a clinical trainer for one of the leading hearing aid manufacturers. She has supervised and trained many graduate students, Clinical Fellow candidates, and hearing aid dispensers during her career. Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Audiology at Long Island Consortium, St. Johns University.

“The audiologist I saw was fine but the office management is a shambles. There is no way to contact the office directly. Leaving messages and talking to remote personnel was no help. Although I called daily for a week, the telephone assistants who called the office were unable to locate my hearing aids. When the front office refused to check on my hearing aids, missing for over two weeks, I insisted on speaking to the office manager, Carrie Barclay, who was extremely rude. Because the audiologist was out sick, no one could provide a mechanism for me to pick up my hearing aids which were in the office. ”
