Dr. Kaela Fasman earned her bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and a clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Kaela is passionate about providing excellent care and improving the quality of life of her patients and their families. She values her opportunity to help people live healthier and happier lives through improved communication and tinnitus relief. She enjoys educating friends, family, and patients about tinnitus and hearing loss.

“Sound Relief scheduled me in at 4pm the day after I called them reporting loss of hearing in one ear. Dr. Kelly told me I had a broken wire that they would replace as soon as a replacement could be obtained. This just took a few minutes. I’m waiting to hear from them as soon as my aid is repaired. I give them 5/5 for their help.”

“If you suffer from tinnitus and have been putting off addressing this, please call Sound Relief immediately! Here’s my story and why I made the appointment…I will be 65 in July and as a child, my mother told me that I complained often that there was a bee in my ear. I also had several ear infections which led to tubes being placed in one or both ears. Only after my appointment today did I feel I have a better understand of tinnitus and how it may have affected many aspects of my life. I have hope now! Doctor Kaela immediately set my mind at ease, tested my hearing and went over the results with me. She had sample devices that I tried that immediately lessened my tinnitus. I am now working with Sound Relief to have my own device! ”

“Howdy !!! I've been a patient at the Golden Sound Relief hearing Center since 2017. I recently had to get both of my (2) hearing aids sent in- they quit working altogether. My usual doctor was out on vacation, so I saw Dr. Kelsey Harris. Wow !!! Her attention to detail, genuine concern for my hearing and level of care were outstanding. I had to leave work early and drive out of the mountains roughly 100 miles. Dr. Harris is the paradigm of what every audiologist should strive to be. In addition to dealing with a wax build-up, she walked me through what I need to do to care for my hearing aids, provided (2) loaner hearing aids and is seeking to have my hearing instruments replaced under warranty. I highly recommend this Sound Relief Center and Dr. Kelsey Harris. She can and Will help You !”

“I went in today for a cleaning and help with feedback from my hearing aids and pairing with my new phone. I was told I had earwax and would have to make a different appointment and pay several hundred dollars to have the doctor clean out the ear wax. Mind you it is a 2 hour drive for me to get to the clinic . They were also unable to help me pair the devices with my phone. Corporate medicine at its finest. I won't be going back to these people.”

While we understand that the distance makes returning difficult, that offer still stands should you wish to reach out in the future. We also want to clarify that earwax removal is performed by a doctor for safety reasons and typically costs between $50 and $100 per ear, depending on time and complexity — not $300 as was mentioned in your review. We value your feedback and take it seriously. Your experience has helped us identify areas for improvement in scheduling and pre-appointment communication, and we’ll be implementing changes to help prevent situations like this going forward. “I came to Sound Relief due to chronic Tinnitus that I had suffered with for well over 8 years. After suffering a great deal of headaches, disrupted sleep, and troubles with concentration I knew I had to do something. From the moment that I started the therapy and using the new hearing aids combined with the pink noise I have felt progressively better. I haven't suffered the headaches for most of the last 7 months that I have been a patient. Dr. LaBrec has been great and very responsive to any questions that I have had. “I have been using the Oticon miniRITE R (with CROS) for about a year. I had previously used Phonak. I have been very happy with the switch. First I like that these are rechargeable vs messing with button batteries. The charge lasts all day, and nearly two under the right conditions. Second, I find they handle background noise better to help with honing in on the conversation you want to hear. The compression settings for noisy situations like restaurants is much better. Next I can't rave enough about having native support with iPhone and AppleWatch. My phone will measure battery life which I really appreciate. I can take calls and have the audio go directly to my hearing aids. This doesn't work too well in noisy situations, but otherwise is great. On top of that, when streaming a call, it doesn't turn off the external microphones so you still hear what's happening around you. That said, they aren't really that good for music. The sound isn't made for that and you'd be better off just using headphones like AirPods Pro or with transparent mode or bone induction headphones. I love that there really aren't tubes to get clogged and replace. It's a wire with a speaker. Oticon has an AppleWatch app and complication making program changes and volume corrections very simple and easy on the fly. My one critical thought and the only reason not to give it a 5 out of 5 is the charger. Since the LEDs on the hearing aids are not covered, there is light pollution on the charger that make it not good for bedside. Also, the power line isn't removable from the base despite being USB on the other end. This makes packing for travel less ideal. I would guess the next iteration would ditch USB A for the more accepted and prevalent USB C. I got around all of this by ordering the SmartCharger. It looks like a giant AirPods Pro case. It's USB C. All cables can be removed for travel. And zero light pollution. It has very straight forward leds only when the lid is open to show you the batter charge on the case which lasts for about three nights of recharging your hearing aids without USB power. I use this as my primary charging mechanism. A quick weekend getaway requires no cables or power bricks. In a pinch, hook it up to your computer or any USB charger to top it off. I would recommend to Oticon, ditch the desk charger and just stick with the smartcharger. As for Kaela Fasman at Sound Relief, I can't say enough great things about how she listens and helps make what you have work the best it can for you. I'm very grateful for her.”

“My initial visit I was impressed by how I was treated as if I was their only patient. Dr Kaela Fasman extremely helpful in explaining how each model of hearing aids how they work, their individual features and the benefits. She not only tested the full spectrum of my ears hearing ability but was able to customize each hearing aid program to compensate for my personal hearing loss. When she was done I could hear the full spectrum of frequencies. I was able to hear my granddaughters very quiet voices. I couldn't be happier with the results. ”

“I've been putting off going to an audiologist for a long time. So I decided to do something about my hearing loss and tinnitus. I saw the sound relief ad on TV. Called the Golden office (the closest to me) talked to Linda she was very friendly and we made an appointment that fit my busy schedule. Meet with Dr. Kate she tested me, we talked about my hearing loss and tinnitus. I tried some hearing aids and WOW I CAN HEAR. She stays in touch with me by email. It's only been about 6 weeks.
