“I took my 82 year old mom for a hearing test and saw Dr. Rebecca McDonald from NRH ENT. My mom is not the easiest to deal with. She always resists doctor visits. Dr. McDonald was very welcoming and compassionate She made my mom comfortable and she was able to gain her trust. She explained clearly what the hearing test entailed all the way through the interpretation of the test. She made her try hearing aids, provided helpful tools for my mom to decode communication successfully as well as tools for us to use in communicating with her given the hearing loss and most importantly, educated us on the impact of hearing loss and cognitive decline. “This morning, 02/01/2024, I took my Oticon hearing aids in to have the rechargeable batteries checked as the left battery was draining much quicker than the right battery. Michelle C. was able to clean the battery compartments, replace the batteries in both hearing aids, and put new ear pieces on each hearing aid. She did this within a few minutes while I waited. I have always received excellent assistance and customer service from North Hills Hearing & Balance Center. Today Michelle continued in providing excellent assistance and customer service. “I was greated warmly and timely. The audiologist Erin explained the testing and spoke directly to me so that I could see her lips. Erin began testing in sound proof booth and between each test she came to the booth so I could see her lips. Speaking to someone face to face is so important if you can't hear, this is a big plus. Erin asked me to explain the most important situations in my life to be able to hear. She then explained not told me, the products that could meet my hearing needs. This Audiologist gets my vote for great bedside manor.”

“I had excellent care. They were very patient with me and helpful. When I first got my hearing aids, I didn't like them, because I could hear every little noise way to loud. I went back to Rebecca and she set my hearing aids where they gradually increased power over several weeks. I work in a very noisy environment, so she set them where I can block out some of the background noise, if I need to. Once I got used to them, they became part of me!! I put them on in the morning and I don't take them out until bedtime. They are so comfortable that sometimes I forget to take them out, before bed. I like them very very much. Now I can't do without them.”
