The family loves spending time together exploring the Biltmore Estate, hiking, and attending shows at the Diana Wortham Theater. WNC Hearing and Audiology proudly sponsors the theater's hearing loop, which enables direct sound transmission from the stage to hearing aids.

Dr. Angelina earned her Master of Arts degree from San Diego State University in 1994 and later completed her Doctorate in Audiology at AT Still University. Throughout her career, she has worked in private audiology practices and ENT offices, specializing in diagnostic evaluations and hearing aid fittings. She has also gained valuable experience at the VA Medical Center and Buncombe County Schools.

Dr. Angelina is passionate about working with adults and has a talent for making patients feel comfortable and even excited about addressing their hearing loss.

Hearing testing available could include:

  • Pure Tone - Standard "beep" test where you listen to tones at various pitches and volumes to find the quietest sounds you can hear.
  • Speech Audiometry - Your Audiologist will present a group of  words or phrases at different volumes for you to repeat back. This measures how well you can hear speech with clarity.
  • Tympanometry - Measures how well the eardrum moves. Results will show us if the eardrum is too stiff, has fluid behind it, or has a hole in it.
  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) - Measures the ease with which sound signals are sent between your ear and brain.

If you're found to benefit from hearing aids, we'll guide you through selecting the best style and technology for your needs, followed by a personalized fitting appointment.

During a typical hearing aid fitting:

  • Real Ear test will be performed to ensure your hearing aid is providing the correct amount of amplification.
  •  Final adjustments needed to ensure your hearing aid is in optimum working order.
  •  Typical Maintenance and upkeep tasks, such as how to change or charge the batteries of the hearing aid or how to sync it to your phone.
